Husband and wife duo Anthony and Emma Belcher are opening their third Just Cuts salon on the Sunshine Coast next Thursday June 27 at 9am, and it’s a first of its kind design for the state.

Just Cuts Birtinya will be located opposite Surf Dive ‘n’ Ski in Stockland Birtinya, and the Salon will be offering Free Haircuts to their first 30 Clients on Grand Opening day and then $25 Style Cuts to celebrate their first 6 weeks in business.

Anthony and Emma also own successful salons Just Cuts Kawana and Sunshine Plaza, and have now bought their third salon in just under 12 months on the Sunshine Coast due to growing demand for great value Style Cuts for the whole family.

According to 2024 Commonwealth Bank data, the Sunshine Coast is Australia’s most coveted region for movers, capturing a record share of net internal migration over the last year.

“The demand here for great value Style Cuts is unbelievable, like hair it just hasn’t stopped growing,” said Anthony. “Just Cuts salons are perfect for all the people who don’t like paying $90 for a haircut and waiting for hours, or for women who just want a cut and will do the colour at home.”

“I see it as a retail renaissance here on the Sunshine Coast. Just Cuts hasn’t dated because you can’t get your hair cut online and it’s continued to evolve with innovations like the Just Cuts app so people can check into the salon from home and view wait times and join the queue.”

“It’s the vibe you get walking into our salons that no one else can replicate. They’re bright and modern, and our stylists are busy and energetic. You feel welcome and you feel comfortable.”

Anthony and Emma employ 25 Stylists on the Sunshine Coast and are proud to welcome their new Clients into their brand-new salon, which will be the first of its kind in Queensland and second in Australia. There are over 190 Just Cuts salons in Australia.

“The new Just Cuts salon design is suited to the next generation of Clients. I’m looking forward to our new tan styling chairs which add a real sense of warmth and are a departure from the traditional black hairdresser chair – they are our disruptor chairs and our Clients will love them,” said Anthony.

“Just Cuts continues to be welcoming, warm and community oriented – we want our salons to be places you want to spend time in. The new design is more homely and less light, bright and white. It’s a shift towards a more residential design with timber and plants to give an airy aesthetic.”

“Our brand promise is no appointments, just walk in, and the new design communicates that at an architectural level with seating outside the salon to capture foot traffic in.”

Local Stylist Leisa Tunny will lead the team and has worked in Just Cuts salons for 14 years.

Just Cuts offers quality Style Cuts at an affordable price for everyone. The price stays the same regardless of style or gender, and Leisa says local styles are quite diverse in the cool weather.

“On the Sunshine Coast currently mullets are still the winner for men and women are opting for shorter, shoulder length hair this winter – even if they have long hair,” said Leisa. “Low, mid and high Fades are also a major trend at the moment for the men, even in the colder months.”

Just Cuts Birtinya will employ 8 fully qualified Stylists and will be open 7 days.
